Account Information
If you create an account with FlyingOver:
- Email address - Required for account creation and login
- Password - Securely hashed and stored by Firebase Authentication (we never see your actual password)
- Display name and photo (optional) - If you choose to add them to personalize your profile
If you use third-party sign-in (Apple Sign-In, Google Sign-In):
- Authentication token from the third-party provider
- Email address (if provided by the third party)
- We do not receive or store your third-party account password
Flight Tracking Data
When you add flights to track:
- Flight numbers you choose to track
- Saved flights and their associated information
- Preferences for notifications and alerts
This data is stored to provide the service and sync across your devices.
Location Data
If you enable location access:
- Your device location is used only to display your position on the map while you are actively using the app
- Location data is collected and processed on our servers to provide the map visualization features
- We do not track your location in the background or when you are not actively using the app
- Location data may be temporarily retained to improve app features but is never sold or shared with third parties for advertising or tracking purposes
- We do not share location data with any third-party analytics, advertising, or attribution services
Offline Maps
When you download offline maps:
- Map regions you have downloaded are stored locally on your device
- We may track which map regions are popular to optimize our map offerings

- All your data (flights, preferences, account information) will be immediately and permanently deleted
- Deleted data cannot be recovered

You can control location access through your device settings at any time.
Push Notifications
You can disable notifications through your device settings or within the app.
Marketing Communications
We do not send marketing emails unless you explicitly opt in. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Children's Privacy
FlyingOver is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.
